U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, today issued the following statement after a federal judge in Virginia ruled that the individual mandate central to the Obama health care law is unconstitutional:
"This decision is a great victory and I hope it is affirmed on appeal. Texans overwhelmingly disapprove of this unconstitutional intrusion on individual liberty, and whatever future courts decide, I will do everything in my power to repeal this law."
