U.S. Senator Jim Bunning today issued the following statement supporting the proposed moratorium on earmarks.
"I applaud the efforts of my colleagues in the Senate to get our nation's spending under control," said Bunning. "While earmarks may only be a small part of the problem, imposing a moratorium on this practice is a big step in the right direction. It shows just how serious Republicans are about the need to restrain spending and get our government's fiscal priorities back on track."
