John Kline: We Must Keep Our Promises to Our Troops and Veterans

Statement

Congressman John Kline issued a statement today in recognition of Veterans Day:

"As the nation pauses to honor our veterans today, we are reminded of their immense sacrifices in defense of our freedoms. As Americans, we owe more than gratitude to the brave men and women in uniform and their families who have sacrificed so much to guarantee generations of Americans the freedoms and security we enjoy.

"As the husband of a career Army nurse, the father of a son who has served tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, and a 25-year Marine Corps veteran, I consider it one of my greatest responsibilities in Congress to make sure we keep our promises to America's military personnel -- present and past -- and their families and ensure they have the support they deserve."
