Adriano Espaillat authored the CUNY/SUNY Undocumented Student Tuition Parity Act which allows undocumented students to pay in-state tuition rates as opposed to out of state tuition rates. He introduced a bill that would require hospitals to provide language assistance to ensure access to services such as health care, billing and scheduling appointments.. And in May, 2010 Espaillat sponsored a resolution calling on Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform in light of the anti-immigration legislation passed by the State of Arizona.
