Issue Position

Adriano Espaillat initiated Project Remain/Nos Quedamos to mobilize neighborhood residents, block associations, housing advocates, houses of worship and other community stakeholders for tenants rights and against predatory landlords. Last year he co-sponsored a package of laws that would protect rent-regulated apartments, increase penalties on landlords who harass tenants, and place limits on rent increases for working families.
