Issue Position

the Founding Fathers warned of a Federal Government bent on usurping the power, rights, and privacy of its States and citizens. In the last nine years, the Federal Government has expanded the scope of its power at an alarming rate, while ignoring the Constitution which was meant to restrain the Federal Government. They have created a national ID card that Rhode Island refused to participate in but a new ID card is coming and would like all threats to civil liberties nullified such as the Patriot Act and Military Commissions Act of 2006.
