Remember in November: Which Piccillo? Pelosi Candidate Continues to Flip and Flop on the Issues

Press Release

Date: Oct. 20, 2010
Location: Brooksville, FL
Issues: Immigration

With the election only two weeks away, candidates are in the final stretch of the election. Voters are taking these last weeks to determine which candidate will best represent their beliefs in Congress. But some candidates are starting to make contradictory statements to make them seem more in line with voters in their district.

Jim Piccillo, Democrat candidate for Congress in Florida's 5th district, is one candidate who continues to change his opinion on key issues. He has routinely changed his position on taxes, healthcare and earmarks, but now it seems as he is flipping and flopping on immigration as well.

In a recent article Jim Piccillo stated that he would oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants[1]. But in multiple surveys taken by Piccillo he responded that he would support amnesty for immigrants who have entered and live in this country illegally[2][3].

"Our country is tired of politicians who say one thing and do another thing," stated Rich Nugent. "We need leaders in Washington who will listen to the voters every day, not just during a campaign. As Sheriff, I have always made it a point to listen to what the people of Hernando County wanted out of their law enforcement. And I have made decisions based on the needs of the people, not politics."

Washington is broken and we need real change in Washington to fix the problems facing the country, problems like rampant unemployment, over burdensome regulation, reckless spending, and illegal immigration. Rich Nugent is the proven leader that will go to Washington and clean up the mess that politics as usual has created.
