U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina today called on Barbara Boxer to explain why money from the taxpayer-funded $814 billion big-government economic stimulus plan is being spent overseas and on completed projects and why it has failed to create new jobs and put people back to work here in California.

"Barbara Boxer's hypocritical claim that she wants to see 'Made in America' again was exposed again today as we learned that taxpayer dollars spent on the failed stimulus she championed are actually being shipped overseas and funding projects that are already complete. If Barbara Boxer truly cares about seeing jobs being created in this nation, she should start in her own backyard and demand that our taxpayer dollars for wind tax credits and other big-government stimulus programs be spent here in America," said Fiorina. "Let there be no doubt: Barbara Boxer is more interested in growing government than she is in growing our nation's economy. She has utterly failed to deliver jobs for the people of this state and this nation, and she must be held to account. Barbara Boxer must explain to the people of California why the economic stimulus plan she championed is actually bringing 'help and hope' to other countries instead of to the very state she was elected to represent."
