The 6th District is home to the best waterfront in Baltimore County. The Patapsco, Back and Middle Rivers run through the district, as do countless smaller creeks and marshes. When residents in our community talk about protecting the Chesapeake Bay, they're talking about protecting their own quality of life. Senator Stone has participated in numerous community cleanups, including efforts to clean the Bread and Cheese Creek and Back River. In addition to his hands-on efforts in the district, Senator Stone has voted for common sense legislation to restore the Chesapeake Bay, while still protecting manufacturing jobs. He supported tax credits and other incentives to create green jobs in Maryland, and he voted for tough restrictions designed to cut runoff pollution into the Chesapeake Bay. He also voted to crack down on over-development in the Bay's watershed.
