Issue Position

To those who argue that building a stronger economy means less environmental protection, I say that's a false choice, a shortsighted perspective. My years serving on the board of the Association to Preserve Cape Cod and the Center for Coastal Studies has taught me that we need to support our towns as they work to protect our water supplies and shorelines. We need to concentrate new building while preserving open space. We need to join forces with local Land Banks and conservation trusts. And we need to be clear that projects like spraying herbicides on our power lines should not happen.
