Issue Position

I will defend the principles of low taxes, limited government, and local control that make NH a great state to live and raise a family. I will work to rein in the out of control spending in our state government and I pledge to oppose any sales or income tax. We can no longer continue to watch our government spend and tax as other states have done and expect to continue the proud low tax tradition of our state. We must work to reduce state spending to sustainable levels through improved efficiency in performance of state services, elimination of waste and redundancy, and reducing the size of government. We need to apply the same sound business principles that help companies in the private sector survive economic downturns -- using the challenges of the downturn to re-invent the way they do business and reduce costs, allowing them to come out of the downturn stronger, more efficient and more resilient.
