Group calls Johnson a "strong advocate for life"
The National Right to Life Political Action Committee (NRL PAC) has endorsed Candidate for Congress Bill Johnson over incumbent Congressman Charlie Wilson.
The political arm of the nation's largest pro-life organization, NRL PAC said in their letter that they were pleased to endorse Bill Johnson in Ohio's 6th Congressional District.
"This endorsement reflects your commitment to renewing a culture of life, not only in Ohio, but throughout the nation and in the U.S. Congress." NRL PAC Executive Director David O'Steen and Political Director Karen Cross signed the letter.
Bill Johnson said he was proud to receive the endorsement.
"This endorsement is very meaningful; it's an honor to be recognized by National Right to Life," Johnson said. "I look forward to working with them to stand up for pro-life values across our nation."
The NRL PAC release also mentioned that Johnson's opponent, Charlie Wilson, voted for the recent health care legislation that will provide federal funding for health care plans that pay for abortion on demand. Johnson has already pledged to be a vote to repeal ObamaCare in Washington.
"It's been just over six months since Charlie Wilson failed his constituents by voting, instead, with Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama on a massive government takeover of health care," Johnson said. "Using taxpayer dollars to fund abortions is just one of many reasons we must work diligently to repeal and replace Obamacare with market and values-based solutions."
Bill Johnson is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel who resides in Poland with his wife LeeAnn and son Nathan. He currently works in a senior management IT role with a publicly traded company headquartered in Northeast Ohio.
