We must live within our means, but in order to so we have to create jobs or cut the budget

Our first priority in Congress must be to create jobs, with policies that create private-sector jobs and increase the tax base. Privatizing Social Security is not the answer to reducing the deficit. Once we have put the economy back on the right track, it will be time for bipartisan restoration of the solvency of the Social Security system. We must protect current and near retirees' benefits, and must not pay benefits to illegal immigrants.
