-Sponsored the Help Efficient, Accessible, Low Cost, Timely Healthcare (HEALTH) Act of 2009 that would reduce the cost of health care in this country by enacting meaningful medical liability reform.

-Sponsored the ADOPT HIT Act of 2009 that would promote greater cost savings and efficiency in our health care system by supporting the adoption of health information technology.

-Cosponsored the Empower Patients First Act to provide meaninful incentives that would ensure all Americans have access to health insurance coverage without turning our health care system over to the government.
