Andy Harris Statement on Maryland's Disappointing Unemployment Rate

Statement

Date: Sept. 21, 2010
Location: Severna Park, MD

Andy Harris released today the following statement on Maryland's August Unemployment Rate:

"Once again, the Maryland Jobs Report is filled with disappointment. Although Nancy Pelosi and Congressional Democrats spent a trillion dollars on a so-called stimulus, Maryland lost nearly 7,000 jobs and unemployment rate climbed to 7.3 percent. The Eastern Shore is devastated by unemployment, and yet nothing is being done by Congress to get the economy moving again. Maryland's First District needs someone in Washington who fights for small businesses and struggling families, not someone who votes for Nancy Pelosi's job-killing legislation regardless of the harm it causes his constituents."

Andy Harris is a Republican candidate running for Maryland's 1st Congressional District. Harris, a practicing physician, and his wife Cookie have five children
