Issues: Elections

When it comes down to it, Delaware voters know this election isn't about witchcraft, Marxism, pets, personal finances, or any of the myriad distractions that are filling the hours on cable news.

It's about you. It's about your family. It's about your neighbors.

It's about the important issues confronting Delaware as we head into an uncertain future. Issues like creating jobs in our communities while strengthening the economy of our nation. It's about ensuring all Americans have access to quality, affordable health care, that our kids go to the best schools and that our governments are run with balanced budgets.

The Tea Party has already dumped more than $2 million into my opponent's coffers, but no matter how much money the Tea Party pours into our state to smear my record of fiscal responsibility, I'm not going to stop talking about the issues that truly matter. In order to do that, I need your help.

There are seven days until the quarterly filing deadline and we need to raise another $250,000 to keep us on track for executing our strategy to win in November.

Will you make a contribution today?

The contrast between Christine O'Donnell and myself couldn't be clearer.

I have an aggressive plan to promote job growth, but she does not. I have experience managing a government in tough times. She has none. I believe health care is a right of all Americans. She would choose to ignore the millions of people who lack access. I oppose drilling for oil off Delaware's beaches, while she would increase drilling. I want to overhaul the way Wall Street does business. She'll fight to continue de-regulating it. I support groundbreaking stem cell research, but she does not. I support a woman's right to choose, she opposes it.

Central to my campaign are my record and ideas for our country. All Christine O'Donnell offers is an ideology.

The Tea Party is banking on that extreme ideology to the tune of more than $2 million here in Delaware. That money doesn't make its rhetoric any more appropriate for our state, but it will certainly make it a lot louder. That's why your support now is so important.

Help us raise another $250,000 in the next seven days to help our message break through.

I'm grateful for your support. With your help, we'll be able to stay focused and run the positive, issue-based campaign Delaware voters expect and deserve.
