Issues: Education
Education is best managed at the state and local level with the cooperation of parents, teachers and local elected officials. I will support efforts to protect local control and minimize intrusion from the federal government.
If elected to Congress I will be a voice for South Dakota's rural school districts and their unique needs. We know that top-down federal programs designed for downtown Chicago school districts might not work as well in rural South Dakota.
