Murphy Votes with Republican Bosses, Against Jobs...Again

Statement

Date: Sept. 23, 2010
Location: South Park, PA

Dan Connolly today issued the following statement on Tim Murphy's vote against job creation:

"Making a stronger case for his own termination, Tim Murphy today voted against the Small Business Jobs Act. At a time when job creation is stalling any recovery it is wrong to vote against a measure that will give the small businesses that will be the engine of recovery access to loans that will spur job creation."

"The plan adds no money to the deficit and will help small business create 500,000 jobs. Tim Murphy has spent too much time in Washington, DC and not enough time with small business owners that create jobs."

"The problem with Washington is that career politicians like Tim Murphy are so interested in keeping their own jobs that they forget the hard work it takes to create jobs back home. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and Tim Murphy should be fired by Western Pennsylvanians for putting his party's partisan priorities ahead of our interests."
