We have all been told that we got into the current financial crisis by spending money we didn't have. The solution from Washington? Spend more money that we don't have. Any place other than Washington, that would sound crazy because it is.
We are on the verge of bankrupting the country, debasing the currency, and throwing the economy into a deathspin. Just recently Moody's commented that we -- as a nation -- might lose our Triple-A credit rating. My opponent, Nancy Pelosi, and President Obama have told us to expect trillion dollars deficits for years to come. Honestly, I don't think we have that option.
The deficit spending must end. Now. This year. It is time for the federal government to live within its means.
