"Over the past few months' members of the House Republican Conference have spent a great deal of time listening to the American people. Through listening sessions and town halls across our districts we have sought the opinions of our constituents on the direction of our nation.

During listening sessions I held across Ohio's Second Congressional District one thing became abundantly clear. The vast majority of my constituents have serious concerns about the direction and future of our country.

These concerns are addressed in the House Republican Conference's A Pledge to America. It is imperative that we get our nation back on track, regain the confidence of the American people in their elected leaders, and I believe the Pledge to America will start us down that road.

I wholeheartedly support the Pledge to America and will work diligently to see its provisions enacted."
