I believe that every child in Wisconsin deserves a great education. A strong education system is key to long-term economic growth. That is why we need to invest in our K-12 schools, support our world-renowned university system, and help our technical colleges meet the needs of a changing workforce.
As the Assembly Majority Leader, I helped protect education from severe budget cuts and helped to increase funding for Wisconsin's technical college system. At the same time, I supported expanding financial aid for students pursing higher education.
