Haley for Governor Releases Statewide TV Ad: "Movement"

State Rep. Nikki Haley's gubernatorial campaign today unveiled a new 30-second television ad entitled, "Movement." The ad is scheduled to start running statewide on network and cable television tomorrow and is the Haley campaign's first ad of the general election.

"In June, we saw hundreds of thousands of South Carolinians get behind Nikki's message of bringing a conservative, accountable government to Columbia," said Haley for Governor campaign manager Tim Pearson. "Since then we've only seen that movement grow. People across the state have come to understand that if they want politicians to remember they work for the people and not the other way around, to understand the value for a dollar, and to put jobs and the economy first, then Nikki Haley is their candidate."

Recent polling has shown Haley's lead over Sen. Vince Sheheen to be growing. Haley led Sheheen by 16 percentage points in Rasmussen's August survey after leading him by 14 points in July and 12 in June.

"The momentum has been building over the summer, and now it's time to shift into an even an higher gear for the homestretch of the campaign," Pearson said.

The ad's script is as follows:
