Folsom Praises Alabama Workers

Labor Day gives us the opportunity to recognize and honor the heroes we see every day. The quiet heroism of our hard working men and women embolden our society and strengthen our local communities. Whether blue collar, white collar, or home based, the Alabama worker exemplifies the spirit and commitment that keeps the engines of commerce turning.

Alabama has been blessed to recruit some of the top industries in the world. It's the world class work ethic embedded in our people that makes our state such an attractive place to do business. Now more than ever, we are leaning on our workers as we fight to restore our economy. But, we move forward with the highest confidence because the Alabama worker has come through for us time and time again.

The needs and concerns of the working people of this state have always been a priority for me. I have always stood up for Alabama families -- doing everything within my power to protect their interests and reduce their burden.

As your Lt. Governor, I'll keep fighting for Alabama workers. But this weekend, let us all simply pause and say "Thank You" to our workforce for upholding every ideal that makes Alabama the greatest place in the world to work and live.
