Blog: Happy Labor Day

Statement

Date: Sept. 6, 2010

For most the Labor Day holiday is a time for parades, cookouts and taking that last vacation before summer comes to an end. Labor Day is also a time to celebrate the American worker.

Through my travels during this campaign I have met with many Pennsylvanians who are struggling but have also has the opportunity to witness their resilience. Our communities in Pennsylvania are strong willed and I have met many who are working hard to grow their own businesses and create good jobs for their neighbors.

I am committed to helping in these efforts for job growth across the state, and as Governor, I will put the Pennsylvania worker and taxpayer first.

Thank you to all who have shared their stories with me on the campaign trail. It is our people that make Pennsylvania a great state, and together we will make the next four years a time of recovery in Pennsylvania.

I wish everyone a safe and happy Labor Day holiday!

Tom
