Statement From Sharron Angle On the President's $50 Billion In Spending Increases

Statement

Date: Sept. 7, 2010

U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle released a statement today on President Obama's proposed $50 Billion in spending increases:

Harry Reid and President Obama are either entirely tone deaf to the voices of the American people or they simply don't care about what voters are saying. Across this country, and especially in Nevada, voters are crying out that they are sick of the out-of-control government spending and they want it to stop. Instead of listening to Americans, President Obama has proposed spending another $50 billion to stimulate the economy after his $800 billion stimulus package failed miserably. Election Day cannot come soon enough to take control back from Harry Reid and finally say enough is enough on failed government spending plans. At a time of 14.3 percent unemployment, only President Obama and Senator Reid believe that spending another $50 billion in taxpayer money while raising taxes is the answer to this economic crisis. This November, a vote against Harry Reid is a vote against President Obama and our best chance to stop this endless spending.
