Last night at the To Protect Our Heritage Candidates' Forum 10th District Congressional candidate Robert Dold outlined his commitment to leadership on Israel issues.

"These are extradordinarily critical times, with the news that Iran is loading fuel into the Busherhr nuclear facility and with President Ahmadinejad's inflammatory announcement about a new long-range bomber aircraft," said Dold. "The pro-Israel community is looking for leadership on these and other issues that threaten not only Israel but also the security of the United States. I will be a strong pro-Israel champion in Congress."

Dold joined U.S. Senate candidate Mark Kirk in answering questions about Israel and U.S. foreign policy from the audience. It was hosted by To Protect Our Heritage, a bipartisan group that promotes a strong U.S.-Israel relationship, and sixteen other Jewish organizations. The non-partisan forum was scheduled to feature both U.S. Senate candidates Mark Kirk and Alexi Giannoulias, and both Congressional candidates Robert Dold and Dan Seals, but Giannoulias and Seals withdrew from the forum.
