Issue Position

A vital role of government is to protect its citizens. I am committed to protecting our border and providing quality police, fire and emergency services. I have worked to pass strong legislation that assists law enforcement in keeping criminals off the streets and protecting our families from predators. This is one reason why I am supported by former Mesa Police Chief Jan Strauss and former Police Commander Mike Whalen. In addition, I have also earned the endorsement of the Mesa Firefighters Association.
This next session you will see us continue to strengthen border enforcement, not waiting for the Feds to eventually fulfill their role. In addition, you will see incentives put into place to encourage better collaboration and cooperation among all law enforcement agencies. I know that your desire for a safe and lawful place to raise your family is a high priority. I commit to you that it is a high priority for my family and me too.
