David Gill Urges Cooperation on FutureGen Project

Statement

David Gill, M.D., issued the following statement on
the evolving situation with the proposed FutureGen project:

"We must work together with local, labor, state, and federal leaders if
we are to keep this project in central Illinois.

"The deteriorating status of the FutureGen project demonstrates the lack of
true leadership and representation Illinois' 15th district has in
Washington. Congressman Johnson is so busy following the Republican
leadership in obstructing the Obama administration's priorities that
he cannot work across the aisle. He is ineffectual in communicating
with federal agencies, and he is trying to cover his lackluster
advocacy for IL-15 with blame-shifting and grandstanding."

Dr Gill, an Emergency Room physician, is the Democratic candidate for
Illinois' 15th Congressional District.
