Moore Statement on FEMA Decision

U.S. Congresswoman Gwen Moore made the following statement after learning that FEMA denied the state's application for individual assistance following last month's torrential rain storm and flooding:

"I am extremely disappointed that FEMA will not be providing individual assistance, especially as I remain concerned about the safety of people in homes that may not have a working furnace come winter.

"I am as committed as ever to working with state, local and federal officials to find resources to help our communities recover and rebuild."
