Senator Alan Nunnelee has been endorsed by Mississippi Associated Builders and Contractors (MABC) in his race for Congress thanks to his history of fighting for limited government, pro-jobs principles.

MABC is the largest association of construction leaders in Mississippi. The chapter is home to 1,100 members and represents 66,000 employees.

"MABC believes that, as business owners, we have an inherent responsibility to identify and elect those candidates who share our beliefs and values," said Buddy Edens, president and CEO for the construction association. "We know that we have found that in Alan Nunnelee, and we enthusiastically endorse his candidacy for election to Congress in Mississippi's First Congressional District."

Edens also cited Sen. Nunnelee's support for the free enterprise system and opposition to union control of businesses as reasons for MABC's support.

"It's an honor to be endorsed by this group of business leaders," said Nunnelee. "They, along with all the other citizens of the First District, know that the secret to job growth is holding the line on frivolous spending, keeping taxes low, and calming businesses' fears about onerous regulations. America can't afford to waste another $800 billion on failed policies."

"We need an end to the job-killing, pro-union policies of the liberal leadership of Nancy Pelosi and her Congress. Only a change in Congress can return government to those who understand how real jobs, made by businesses and not by government, are created," added Nunnelee. "It's time for new leadership."
