Every Lansing decision should be made with the customer in mind. Lansing should be setting broad measurable goals with accountability. You should have the freedom to reach those goals in any way you see fit. In other words, your lifestyle should be at your command, not Lansing's.

Transparency And Accountability - Place All State Spending Information Online

The entire state budget should be put on-line for every citizen to see. Other states have done this. You should be able to see every contract the state has with a private company and how much that contract is for. You should be able to see if that contract has been amended. Today, you can see every policy bill being considered in the legislature. Why can't you do the same with every item in the budget? It's time to open the windows of the budget process and let in the fresh air.

Assistance for Unemployed Volunteer Fire Fighters

For unemployment benefit purposes, I propose that money earned by volunteer fire fighters from fire runs not be used to reduce unemployment benefits.
