Issue Position

I will work to repeal all federal legislation regarding education. As a teacher, I have experienced firsthand the frustrations of having to teach under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, better known as No Child Left Behind, and seeing little or no progress in AYP (annual yearly progress). No federal laws should be enacted which subsidize or regulate the education of our children.

I also believe that education, discipline and training are properly placed in the parents' domain. Parents have the right to provide for the education of their children in whatever manner they deem best, be it private, religious or home school.
