Kosmas Applauds Signing of Wall Street Reform Legislation

Statement

Today, following President Obama's signing of comprehensive Wall Street Reform legislation, Congresswoman Suzanne Kosmas (FL-24) released the following statement:

"Today's signing of Wall Street Reform marks an historic step in the fight to hold big banks accountable, strengthen consumer protections, and end taxpayer-funded bailouts. Reform increases transparency in our financial system in order to ensure that our economy is never again held hostage by recklessness on Wall Street.

"Wall Street Reform also takes the fiscally responsible action to end the TARP bailout and put our economy back on the path to long-term economic stability.

"By enacting the toughest financial reforms since the ones created in the aftermath of the Great Depression, we have brought greater accountability to Wall Street and provided greater security to Central Florida's families, seniors, and small businesses."
