Date: July 20, 2010
Location: Woodbury, MN

U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann released the following statement upon the Veterans Administration announcement of a new Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Ramsey, MN:

"I am pleased to extended my congratulations to the City of Ramsey! The construction of a new, 20,000 square foot, state of the art Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Ramsey will greatly expand service to the Veterans of Minnesota with its central location, array of services and top notch staff. This clinic will be a place of healing and well-being for the heroes among us, and I commend the VA for their dedication to making this clinic a reality. It is my hope that the communities of central Minnesota will continue their wonderful support of our troops, both young and old, who walk through the doors of this clinic."

Congresswoman Bachmann hosted three public forums with Veterans administrations officials during the location and bid process for the CBOC. The forums allowed veterans to ask questions and learn about the process, and served as a venue for suggestions from Veterans across central Minnesota.
