Issue Position

* Sponsored and passed the first biomass tax credit.
Paul sponsored and passed the first ever residential biomass tax credit. Biomass is an energy source plentiful throughout New Hampshire and could bring new green collar jobs to the area.

* Sponsored a carpool tax credit.
Paul sponsored legislation that would give small business tax credits to companies that encourage their employees to carpool to work. Paul also worked to increase federal support for programs like New Hampshire 's Rideshare.

* Authored a provision to allow and encourage our schools to run on alternative energy.
Paul sponsored an amendment that would give schools incentives to purchase heating and cooling systems that use alternative forms of energy.

* Worked to increase CAFE standards.
Paul voted to raise the CAFE standards for cars, SUVs, work trucks, and medium and heavy duty trucks to 35 miles per gallon by 2020.c
