Today, following the Supreme Court's 5-4 decision to declare, for the first time, the Second Amendment right to bear arms extends to state and local governments, Brad Ellsworth released the following statement:

"I applaud today's historic Supreme Court decision to recognize, for the first time, federal, state, and local laws cannot infringe upon the right of an individual to bear arms. As a former Sheriff and a gun owner, I enthusiastically signed the Amicus Brief supporting our Constitutional rights. This ruling is an important victory for the Second Amendment and responsible Hoosier gun owners."
