"If we're ever going to balance the budget and break the spending addiction in Washington, we're going to have to end earmarks and pass a balanced budget amendment. I'm proud to support Senator DeMint's efforts to do just that. If we're going to save our country from fiscal collapse, we must shut down the earmark favor factory and get Congress focused on true national priorities. With each new proposal out of the Obama administration to expand government, the Democrats are spending money we don't have. We need every tool at our disposal to end the wasteful spending in Washington."
