Hodes Statement on President's Removal of General McChrystal

Statement

Today, Paul Hodes released the following statement on the President's decision to relieve General McChrystal of command in Afghanistan:

"We owe it to the brave men and women who serve our country in uniform to provide them with military leaders focused squarely on successfully completing the mission at hand as safely and quickly as possible. Today, the President decisively moved the focus of our armed forces back to that mission, and away from the distractions of the past few days."
