Issue Position

The fiscal irresponsibility of President Obama and the Democrats is positively breathtaking.

Phony stimulus plans, thousands of earmarks (code for political pork spending), creating vast new bureaucracies, creating thousands of new government jobs, this is fiscal irresponsibility on steroids.

The fiscal irresponsibility of Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid is literally bankrupting our nation and mortgaging the future of our children and grandchildren. Just the interest on our debt is $383 Billion!

Besides outlandish spending and astronomical debt, as horrible as those things are, even worse is the Obama-led push toward socialism. We now have the federal government in control of 51% of the economy.

As your Congressman, I will be a strong leader to restore fiscal sanity in Washington, D.C.

Massive government spending and massive debt are the result of decades of unconstitutional activity by the federal government. The first step to getting out of this mess is to return to the Constitution as the restraining authority on the federal government.

When I take the oath to uphold the Constitution, I will mean it.

I have signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge. I will not vote to raise your taxes.

I strongly support cutting taxes to stimulate our economy and to put more money in your pocket. I favor adopting the Fair Tax to end all income taxes and abolish the IRS.
I support a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution.

I will neither request nor vote for Earmarks which waste billions of dollars in political pork projects.

I am not a politician. I have neither an Under the Gold Dome nor Inside the Washington Beltway mentality. I am a conservative who will fight for lower taxes, less spending, and limited government.
