As a small town Alaskan mayor and former school board president, I have had to cut spending and I have delivered balanced budgets during tough times, even as impacted friends and neighbors looked on. As your next Senator, I will never forget that the hard working, tax paying men and women of the middle class are Alaska's greatest natural resource, and I will never mindlessly vote to simply print more money to fund multi-billion dollar big bank bailouts.
