Health care policy should be determined by the people of the state and the doctors. Forced compliance is not a way to gain acceptance for any plan. Switzerland has health insurance companies at a ten to one ratio of the U.S. This promotes competition. Multiple insurance companies would allow the people choose a plan and company that best suits their needs. Quality care should be the ultimate goal not profit. Once again the people of Vermont should decide what is best, not Washington. Doctors should prescribe treatment not insurance companies or big pharmaceutical companies.
