Issue Position

Property Tax relief has been an ongoing battle for many years in Harrisburg. Several plans have been addressed in the legislature since I took office. I support the elimination of property taxes but only if it is a true elimination and not a SIT (shift in tax). Many of the plans currently on the table simply shift the burden to other areas. During this last legislative session I fought, on the floor of the House, to make sure critical questions were answered. Currently, I do not feel the plans put forth have been in the best interests of Pennsylvania residents.

Property Tax relief continues to be a high priority on both the legislative agenda and my own.
