I am a proud product of the Kentucky public school system. Additionally, as a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, I am one of only two people in my family to earn a college degree. I believe a good educational background creates a more effective work force. This is why education will play a vital role in bringing better employment opportunities to the 34th district. I recognize that employers want to place their industries in regions that offer educated, highly-skilled workforces. As the husband of a Madison County public school teacher, I realize the importance of making necessary investments in education. As your State Senator, I will ensure that we never short-change our children's future and that teachers have all the resources they need to properly do their jobs.
