BREAK IN TRANSCRIPT
REP. SCOTT GARRETT (R-NJ): Just to thank you for holding the hearings, and I'll defer my opening statements because there are three areas that I'll be interested to see whether-are touched upon with regard to the comments we receive today. First of all-foremost is, just coming from another meeting, with regard to money we're spending and budgetary issues and the amount of money being requested. Secondly, the GSEs' involvement in foreign nations. And finally with regard to the status of special examinations ongoing of Fannie Mae.
So I'll be interested to hear your testimony on that, and I will have follow up questions at the conclusion.
But again, thank you to the chairs for holding the hearing.
