Issue Position: A Plan for Nevada

Issue Position

Nevada's next governor needs two things: a vision for where our state needs to go and a plan to get us there.

I believe that Nevada's future is bright, that we can transform our schools to be at the leading edge of innovation, that we can capitalize on our natural resources to be at the forefront of renewable energy, and that we can build a diverse economy with opportunity and security for all Nevadans.

To create that Nevada of tomorrow, we must make a commitment to our public schools, colleges and universities. They will be the foundation of our success and the chief economic driver of our state.

We must capitalize on our existing resources like sun, wind and geothermal, some of the greatest tourist destinations in the country, and a strategic location for both logistics and digital information.

We must make a commitment to diversifying our economy by promoting job growth, actively recruiting new industry, and training the workforce of the future.

That's the vision I have for Nevada. This is my plan to get us there.
