Issue Position

I've been married to my husband Curt for over 27 years and together we have raised two college-aged children. I support traditional marriage, and am pro-life on the issue of abortion but believe there must be reasonable exceptions for victims of rape and incest, or when the physical life of the mother is at stake. On the issue of stem cell research, I am not in favor of any measure that allows life to be created only to have it destroyed. I am encouraged by the medical advances in stem cell research that could bring about life-saving medicines for some of the world's most crippling diseases.
