Today, Senator John Kerry (D-Mass.) will meet with United States Supreme Court Justice Nominee and current Solicitor General Elena Kagan.
"Elena Kagan has been an extraordinary trailblazer and she will be an extraordinary Supreme Court Justice for a very long time," said Sen. Kerry. "She brings together a remarkable combination of qualities that the Court needs today: a capable mind, a fresh energy, a proven ability to build consensus across ideological lines, and a real-world understanding of how the law and public policy impacts Americans in their daily lives."
Senator Kerry endorsed Elena Kagan on Monday following President Obama's announcement that the former Dean of the Harvard Law School was his choice to be the next Supreme Court Justice. Kerry also posted on Talking Points Memo about why Kagan will be a "Justice about whom we can all be excited to watch on the Court - for many, many years to come."
