Today, U.S. Senator Mark Udall released the following statement on President Obama's nomination of John Walsh, of Denver, to serve as U.S. Attorney for the District of Colorado:
"I'm very pleased that the President has decided to nominate John Walsh to serve as the next U.S. attorney for Colorado. John is eminently qualified, with extensive experience in civil and criminal litigation, both in private practice and as an assistant U.S. attorney.
"John's one of the most civic-minded people I know. He's a Colorado native who knows the Centennial state forward and backward. I was pleased to nominate John last year. He will serve us well, and I look forward to a swift confirmation."
