Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman John Kerry (D-MA) today released the following statement about the rush hour bombings on the Moscow metro:
"This vicious attack on innocent civilians in Moscow is an attack not only on Russia, but against all of the civilized world. The United States stands with the people of Russia not just in condemning this shocking assault but in speaking with one voice to underscore that taking innocent lives accomplishes nothing and will only further unify the world against terror. I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to the people and government of Russia in the wake of this tragedy."
