Alexander Statement on Passage of FAA Reauthorization

Statement

Date: March 22, 2010
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement regarding Senate passage of the FAA Reauthorization bill:

"This bill goes a long way to improve safety in our skies, including measures to improve air traffic control systems and protect passenger rights. Also, I'm very pleased that it does not include a provision to penalize FedEx under federal labor laws. I'll do everything in my power to make sure it stays that way as a final version is negotiated with the House of Representatives."
